Gulf confirmation of support for Yemen's security and stability

Riyadh (Agencies): Jassim Al-Bedaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), reaffirmed the Council’s steadfast and supportive stance toward all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Yemen, during his meeting with Dr. Afrah Al-Zoubi, Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, yesterday.
At the outset of the meeting, held at the GCC Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh, Al-Bedaiwi congratulated Minister Al-Zoubi on her appointment as Yemen’s Foreign Minister, wishing her success and effectiveness in carrying out her duties.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts undertaken to enhance security and stability, as well as to support peace and development processes, following a review of the longstanding relations between the GCC and the Republic of Yemen.
Al-Bedaiwi emphasized the Council’s continued support for all humanitarian and relief efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, in coordination with regional and international partners.
