Al-Yousef: There is nothing greater than Kuwait

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, honored members of the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics who played a key role in thwarting the largest operation of its kind in the history of the State of Kuwait to manufacture and distribute the psychoactive substance “Larica,” awarding them a bonus in recognition of their sincere security efforts and the competence and vigilance they demonstrated in uncovering the case and arresting those involved. During the ceremony, Al-Yousef affirmed that all of Kuwait takes pride in the honored officers and in the work they carried out, led by His Highness the Amir of the State, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister. He noted that their achievements are a source of pride and honor for Kuwaiti families, given their contribution to protecting the nation’s youth from the dangers of these toxic substances. He stressed that this seizure should not be the end of the matter, directing that the investigation continue into all leads of the case to identify and apprehend anyone proven to be involved in importing or distributing the materials, emphasizing that there is no favoritism or cover-up for anyone, and that nothing is greater than Kuwait. Al-Yousef clarified that the main suspect admitted to refraining from distributing the seized quantity out of fear of the new Anti-Narcotics Law and the vigilance of security forces. He affirmed that the absolute support of His Highness the Amir serves as a backbone for all Ministry of Interior personnel across all ranks, motivating them to continue their work without complacency in confronting criminals and smugglers. He added that Kuwait deserves much from its sons, and that what the state has provided for them exceeds whatever they can offer it, no matter their efforts. He thanked the honored officers for their tireless efforts and urged them to continue their dedication and achieve further accomplishments in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its security and stability.
