Our Ambassador to Uzbekistan Awarded a Presidential Commemorative Medal
Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Turki Al-Mukarram, praised the deep historical ties between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1994, and their commitment to continuing the development of cooperation and enhancing coordination and consultation on various shared issues. This came in a statement made by Ambassador Al-Mukarram to KUNA at a reception held to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a number of ministers, senior officials, and heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in the capital, Tashkent. On this occasion, Ambassador Al-Mukarram and all members of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tashkent expressed their highest congratulations and best wishes to the leadership, government, and people of the friendly Republic of Uzbekistan, wishing them continued progress and prosperity. He emphasized that the development witnessed in Kuwait-Uzbek relations reflects the commitment of the leaderships of both countries to deepen their partnership and broaden the horizons of joint cooperation, thereby enhancing the mutual interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples. During the event, Ambassador Al-Mukarram was awarded a commemorative medal by presidential decree from President Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
