The Public Authority for Housing Affairs (PAHA) announced the qualification of 22 consortia, comprising 41 Kuwaiti and international companies, to participate in the next phase of the bidding process for three housing projects under the Real Estate Developer Project. This move aims to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and accelerate the implementation of integrated housing projects across the country.
Ahmed Al-Ansari, Acting Deputy Director General for Investment and Private Sector Projects, stated that the qualification procedures are being implemented in accordance with Cabinet directives, aimed at speeding up the execution of housing projects and enhancing public-private partnerships within established legal and technical frameworks.
In a press statement, Al-Ansari clarified that the qualified consortia met the necessary technical and financial requirements for organizing public-private partnerships in the execution of housing projects. He noted that the qualification results led to the qualification of six consortia for the Al-Mutlaa City M-3 project, eight consortia for the East Saad Al-Abdullah City ESA-1 project, and eight consortia for the West Saad Al-Abdullah City and the Service Axis in Jabir Al-Ahmad City WSA-1 + J-1 project.
He added that the qualified consortia include 27 Kuwaiti companies and 14 international companies, reflecting the significant interest in participating in the housing and development projects implemented by PAHA, and underscoring the private sector’s seriousness in contributing to the execution of high-quality projects in the country.
Al-Ansari emphasized that the qualification of consortia for the next phase of the bidding process for the three projects reflects PAHA’s commitment to applying the highest standards of transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness throughout all stages of bidding and implementation. This ensures the selection of the best consortia capable of executing high-quality projects and delivering optimal value to the state and citizens.
He pointed out that this phase represents a key milestone in completing the bidding procedures, paving the way for transitioning to subsequent stages in accordance with approved technical and financial standards, ultimately leading to the implementation of integrated housing projects that contribute to improving the quality of life and enhancing sustainable urban development.
Al-Ansari affirmed that these efforts align with PAHA’s direction toward activating effective public-private partnerships and leveraging local and international expertise and competencies in executing housing projects, thereby supporting the provision of housing care for citizens in line with best practices and standards.
