The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation of the Israeli occupation authorities’ breach of the Al-Qalandia Vocational Training Center, which is affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), in occupied East Jerusalem, in a blatant violation of international law. In a statement, the Ministry reiterated its call on the international community and the Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities to put an end to the Israeli occupation’s violations and hold the perpetrators accountable, emphasizing the importance of providing adequate protection for facilities belonging to international organizations and their staff, enabling them to carry out their mandated humanitarian tasks. Kuwait also reaffirmed its full support for UNRWA, in line with its steadfast position backing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
