Kuwait Youth Team Heads to Cambodia

The Kuwaiti Under-20 national team will travel to Cambodia today in preparation for the Group 7 qualifiers of the Asian Cup, which is scheduled to be held in China from March 24 to April 10, 2027. The “Blue Youth” will begin their campaign with a match against Japan on Monday, followed by a fixture against Yemen on Thursday, and will conclude their group stage with a game against host nation Cambodia on September 6. The “Blue Youth” concluded their training camp in Thailand after playing two friendly matches, losing the first to Iraq by a goal to nil, and winning the second against the United Arab Emirates by the same scoreline. The “Blues” began their preparatory program under Croatian coach Virdo Milin last July with a training camp in the Netherlands, where the national team played three friendly matches, securing a 1-0 victory over Dutch club Dordrecht. The second phase of preparation saw the team return to Kuwait and play two friendlies against the Jordanian national team, losing both matches 1-0, before starting the third and final phase in Thailand.
