Moscow: We will work to bring down the sanctions policy

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced that Russia would work with Iran and other countries to dismantle Western sanctions policies, which have become “a tool for punishing unwanted states.” Zakharova stated that Moscow firmly rejects unilateral coercive measures that are illegal and contravene the UN Charter. She added that Russia would coordinate efforts with Iran and other countries to counter any new illegal initiatives in this regard, aiming to remove punitive pressures from the international system that have turned into instruments for retaliating against countries disfavored by the West.
