Netanyahu warns against the Muslim Brotherhood coming to power in Israel!
Occupied Jerusalem – Agencies: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of the consequences of what he described as a left-wing alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood, in a clear reference to Arab parties. Netanyahu affirmed that he would not allow the establishment of a Palestinian state controlled by Iran in Gaza or the West Bank as long as he remains in power. These remarks follow calls by Ra’am party leader Mansour Abbas for the recognition of a Palestinian state and the opening of a new page in Arab political alliances ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Israeli channel i24NEWS reported that Netanyahu issued a statement confirming, “As long as I am Prime Minister, there will be no Palestinian state controlled by Iran, neither in Gaza nor in the West Bank. It’s over.” The Hebrew-language channel added that Netanyahu continued his remarks, saying, “The consequences of the left-wing alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood have been revealed once again,” adding, “These are the partners of Eizenkot, Liberman, and Tropper, who boycott Likud voters but welcome supporters of Tawfiq Ziad’s party and the National Democratic Assembly.”
In this context, Gadi Eizenkot responded to Mansour Abbas’s comments, stating, “A Palestinian state will not be established in the government that will be formed.”
For his part, Mansour Abbas, leader of the Ra’am party, held his party’s general conference, which was dedicated to presenting candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections. In his speech, Abbas addressed the Palestinian issue, calling for renewed cooperation among Arab parties in Israel. He said, “A Palestinian state exists and is recognized by the majority of countries in the world, and we are working to ensure that Israel and the United States also recognize it.”
Abbas described Arab citizens of Israel as a “bridge for peace,” affirming that “the Ra’am party seeks to achieve peace and reconciliation and end the conflict.” He also commented on the announced alliance among the other three Arab parties not affiliated with his party, calling for a “new page” in their relations and proposing an agreement for vote-sharing among their lists.
According to Abbas, “the potential participation of an Arab party in a future governing coalition has become a fully integrated political issue in the Israeli discourse,” believing that Ra’am is thereby putting “Israeli democracy to a real test,” as he put it.
