Life is Experiences
Life is a collection of years from which we undoubtedly learn lessons; it contains things that bring us joy as well as things that sadden us. The best part of life is the happy moments, which always remain in your imagination and are recalled whenever your chest feels constricted. In contrast, we constantly try to forget sad days and moments, seeking to pour them out of our lives entirely, just as one pours water from a cup. Our lives are determined by our written destiny, yet our hope for life continues as we strive to achieve certain goals.
Experts compare memory to an empty cup that begins by filling with events until it is full, after which forgetting takes its turn; old information is poured out as soon as new information enters. The important thing is to draw lessons from painful situations at all stages of social and political life. We all remember some of the crises the country endured in exporting products through the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran-Iraq War, which lasted eight years. We also do not forget the despicable aggression against the artificial island, where the fire burned for three days until all sectors managed to extinguish it without human casualties. Furthermore, flags of global nations were raised over oil exports. And now, history repeats itself with the recurrence of events and aggression against neighboring countries. We must learn from these incidents and not let them pass without consequence, and we must seek viable alternatives to avoid certain risks.
We certainly cannot change geography, and we must deal with neighbors with utmost caution. The blessings of our country are a favor from God; He has bestowed many favors upon this land, apart from black gold. There is fertile land, renewable energy, and modern agriculture. Did anyone ever expect that Kuwaiti farmers would produce fruits? I have noticed abundant production of all agricultural crops.
It is believed that everyone has licenses issued by the relevant authority to dispense animal feed subsidies, as well as annual vaccinations. There is also administrative handling of this file, which implies that their licenses are legal. However, grazing areas are difficult to pinpoint in a specific location for a simple reason: they are raising livestock, not going for picnics. This activity may incur significant budget costs to yield returns. Given the scarcity of natural resources for wild plants, this activity forces them to purchase high-cost feed, not to mention modern medical treatments to prevent the spread of infections from some seasonal diseases.
We hope that the responsible brothers in the relevant authority will pay attention to sheep and cattle breeders, so that we can maintain local meat prices. Therefore, we call for a review of the decision for study and the selection of specialists in livestock breeding. It should be noted that most breeders welcome any suitable site that is far from military and oil facilities.
A message to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs:
First, we address you with a message of thanks for your attention to places of worship and your prominent role in religious activities. However, we have some observations regarding this, including the lack of a muezzin proficient in Arabic in some mosques, and a severe shortage of religious staff for the positions of muezzin and imam. We have young men who are memorizers of the Holy Quran, many of whom are stateless or sons of Kuwaiti women, and who are unemployed. Why is their service not utilized in places of worship? They are more deserving than expatriates who require leave abroad, which creates a vacuum in their absence. Let us direct our goodness to our homeland and help solve the unemployment problem for some of the unemployed.
Finally, we say: May God protect Kuwait and its people from all harm, may He support them with His victory, and may He suffice them against the evil of the wicked aggressor.
