October: The Inaugurations

The Council of Ministers was informed of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s approval to patronize the opening of a number of new health projects, and of his directive to His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, to attend the event on his behalf.
The Council of Ministers also reviewed a visual presentation delivered by the Diwan Amiri Undersecretary, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Mashal, and the committee responsible for the management and supervision of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park project, to review the final stages regarding the project’s operation and opening. The project is scheduled to open to visitors on Thursday, October 1. On this occasion, a carnival featuring entertainment activities for visitors will be held, including musical bands, light shows, and family and children’s entertainment segments.
The park’s vision is to serve as a comprehensive, model facility encompassing various sports and recreational amenities. The total area of the project site is 243,605 square meters, with a total built-up area of 203,162 square meters. The green area covers 190,661 square meters, while the investment area amounts to 16,232 square meters.
The project’s components include the Souq Theater Building, which houses a Roman-style theater, an outdoor cinema, a multi-purpose hall, a women’s health club, cafes, and retail shops. The Sports Building features an upper garden, a museum, a skating hall, an ice sports hall, an electric car racing track, and an aerial flight ride. External facilities consist of a mosque, an open-air theater, outdoor playgrounds, a running track, fountains, and a parking lot with a capacity of 2,388 vehicles.
The Council of Ministers commended the efforts of the leadership, officials, and staff of the Diwan Amiri, as well as the committee responsible for the management and supervision of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park project, for launching this cultural and recreational facility, which will become a tourist landmark attracting visitors from within and outside Kuwait.
