Egypt prepares to list four oil companies on the stock exchange

Hashem El-Sayed, Assistant Prime Minister for State-Owned Enterprises and Chief Executive Officer of the State-Owned Enterprises Unit, said that the unit is currently coordinating with the General Petroleum Corporation to identify the oil companies best prepared for a temporary listing on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. El-Sayed told “Arabia Business” that the number of companies selected would depend on each company’s readiness and its compliance with listing requirements, anticipating that three or four companies would be chosen in the coming two weeks.
