Al-Huwail: Professional discipline is the foundation for enhancing performance efficiency

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, directed the continued development of the protection and counseling system within the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and the enhancement of the level of services provided to beneficiaries. This effort focuses on improving the efficiency of shelters and strengthening the quality of social and psychological services, thereby contributing to the provision of a safe and integrated environment and supporting family and societal stability.
During her follow-up on the Council’s operations and her review of the performance of various departments following the organizational restructuring, Dr. Al-Huwail emphasized the importance of continuing to raise institutional efficiency and improve service quality, in line with beneficiaries’ needs and to enhance the Council’s capacity to fulfill its role within the family protection system.
Dr. Al-Huwail met with the Council’s leadership, officials, and staff, stressing the importance of adhering to attendance, professional discipline, and the fingerprint attendance system, alongside assuming responsibility and committing to job duties and specializations. She affirmed that discipline constitutes one of the fundamental pillars for improving performance and elevating the standard of government work.
She further stressed the necessity of fostering a sense of responsibility among employees, and developing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure that tasks are completed at the highest levels of efficiency. This, she noted, contributes to improving the work environment and raising the standard of services provided by the Council’s departments to beneficiary groups.
The Minister reviewed the operational mechanisms in several Council departments, primarily the shelters and the services provided to beneficiaries, as well as the Social and Psychological Counseling Department. She emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of performance levels and working to develop the services and programs offered. She stressed the need to elevate the standard of shelters and provide a safe, integrated environment for beneficiaries that addresses their social and psychological needs, while enhancing the quality of counseling, support, and follow-up programs. These efforts must align with the objectives of the family protection system and ensure the delivery of more effective and responsive services to cases in need.
She also highlighted the importance of developing work methods within the centers and strengthening integration among social, psychological, and service-oriented aspects. This aims to provide the necessary support to beneficiaries and assist them in overcoming the circumstances that led them to utilize shelter and protection services.
Dr. Al-Huwail called for the continued development of work mechanisms and the enhancement of coordination and integration among the various departments of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. This is to ensure the unification of efforts, improve the level of services and programs provided, and leverage available capacities to develop the family protection and care system. She affirmed the importance of keeping pace with societal needs and rapid developments in the fields of social and family work, and continuously developing programs to enhance the effectiveness of interventions and services provided to beneficiary groups.
She stressed that developing the family protection system requires the integration of roles among departments and relevant entities, improving the efficiency of the workforce, and continuous field monitoring of service levels. These measures will strengthen the Council’s role in protecting the family, supporting its stability, and consolidating the quality of institutional work.
The Minister’s follow-up comes within the framework of efforts to develop the performance of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and enhance its capacity to provide integrated social and psychological services that meet societal needs and support pathways of protection, counseling, and family stability.
