Al-Mushaan: On-site monitoring of works and adherence to specifications

Work teams at the Ministry of Public Works continued their field monitoring of the contract for implementing infrastructure works in the Qurtaiba area. The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, directed the relevant teams to conduct on-site follow-up of the works, adhere to the approved schedule and technical specifications, and ensure the project is completed within the contractual period.

For his part, Mr. Anwar Al-Balushi, Director General of the General Administration of Health Engineering Affairs, conducted a field visit to the project. Work on the project commenced on April 3, 2024, with a duration of three years, and the contract works are scheduled to conclude in April of next year, in accordance with the approved contractual schedule.

The actual completion percentage achieved to date stands at 82 percent, compared to 75.50 percent as per the approved contractual schedule. Regarding the completion percentages of other works, the breakdown is as follows: sewage networks at 97 percent, stormwater drainage at 97 percent, telephone networks at 99 percent, street lighting at 96 percent, Type 1 and Type 2 asphalt layer laying at 78.9 percent, and Type 3 asphalt layer at 15.2 percent.
