"Hand of the Novices" with Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, and Syria

The draw for the 11th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, scheduled to be held in Jordan from August 20 to 31, placed the Kuwait national team in Group 2 alongside Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, and Syria. Group 1 comprises the host nation Jordan, South Korea, Bahrain, India, and Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the draw ceremony held in Kuwait yesterday, Asian Handball Federation President Badr Al-Diab welcomed attendees in his speech, wishing success and good fortune to all participating teams. The Asian Handball Federation re-conducted the draw at its headquarters in Kuwait yesterday after the withdrawals of Japan and Chinese Taipei, under the supervision of Asian Handball Federation technical director Jassem Al-Diab. He emphasized the importance of the tournament, as it serves as the qualifying event for the 2027 Junior World Championship, with the ten participating teams competing for four spots in the World Cup.
