Al-Huwaila: Readiness of 28 wedding halls

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, announced yesterday the opening of reservations for 28 wedding halls for events in 2027 and 2028, via the “Dar Al-Munasabat” and “Sahl” applications. She emphasized that the availability of halls for booking is contingent upon the completion of maintenance, rehabilitation, technical approvals, and fire and safety compliance requirements.
Dr. Al-Huwail affirmed that the ministry prioritizes the maintenance and rehabilitation of wedding halls, driven by its responsibility to safeguard the safety of citizens. She stressed that no hall would be made available for booking until its readiness is confirmed and all technical and operational requirements are fully met.
She explained that reservations are opened according to a phased schedule aligned with the halls’ readiness, ensuring their inclusion in the booking system as soon as operational requirements are fulfilled. This approach aims to balance the provision of available dates with the preservation of facility quality and the safety of users.
Al-Huwail noted that the ministry is simultaneously working to incorporate several multi-purpose halls into its service infrastructure in the coming period, aiming to meet citizens’ needs across various governorates and expand their available options.
She highlighted that development and rehabilitation works continue in several wedding halls to enhance their operational efficiency and increase their capacity, in line with rising demand during upcoming seasons.
Technical teams are continuously monitoring the stages of maintenance implementation and conducting necessary technical assessments before approving any hall’s readiness and adding it to the available schedule, thereby reinforcing quality and safety standards.
She clarified that centralizing reservations through the electronic system allows citizens to view available dates and complete booking procedures with ease, reflecting the ministry’s direction toward developing its digital services and elevating the standard of government services.
Dr. Al-Huwail confirmed that the ministry will continue implementing its development programs to modernize the wedding hall system, in accordance with a vision focused on enhancing safety standards and improving the quality of facilities and services provided to citizens.
