France's Ministry of Finance resembles a "powder keg"

French Finance Minister David Amiel said in an interview with the British newspaper Financial Times that France should not postpone difficult decisions on reducing public spending until after next year’s presidential elections. Amiel added that he is currently preparing the 2027 budget, noting that the state of public finances resembles a “powder keg,” according to Bloomberg News.
