The Arab-Israeli-Iranian Conflict
The Arab-Israeli conflict began with the Jewish migrations from around the world to the land of Palestine, fulfilling the Jewish prophecy of the Promised Land, particularly after the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and the declaration of the Jewish state in 1947. The 1948 war erupted hastily, without weapons or organization; nevertheless, the Jews prevailed, and world states began to recognize their state.
Then, Egypt’s revolution and the nationalization of the Suez Canal led to the 1956 war, marked by the tripartite aggression (France, Britain, and Israel) against the Arab Republic of Egypt. However, the United States intervened, halting the conflict and demanding Israel withdraw from the Sinai. Following the closure of the Tiran Straits, the war of June 5, 1967, broke out, devastating the Arabs, particularly Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Israel expanded its territory far beyond what it had previously dreamed of. Nevertheless, Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat mobilized the front with the 1973 war, offering hope for victory. Through negotiation, Egypt regained the Sinai.
After the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, the Arabs were unable to wage war. Instead, some Arab states resorted to treaties and agreements with Israel, which continued to penetrate Lebanon and clash with certain factions in 1978, 1982, and 2006 through limited wars. The objective of these conflicts was not the liberation of Palestine; rather, some of these factions acted under external orders to cover up other matters occurring in a non-Arab state. This state is Iran, which underwent a new ideological republican regime in 1978 based on the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist, with Shi’a Islam as its religious cover and a policy of exporting the revolution, overthrowing Arab regimes, and expanding at their expense.
Iran’s first war was against Arab Iraq in 1980. It then suffered greatly, and the war lasted eight years. The Iranian project nearly stalled, despite its reliance on religious propaganda to indoctrinate the unaware and slogans about liberating Palestine, which deceive the simple and naive. Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in 1978, Iran has not fired a single shot against Israel, except in response to some Israeli strikes, up until the US bombing in 2026.
After the fall of the Ba’athist regime in Iraq in 2003, Iran infiltrated and caused corruption throughout all aspects of life in Iraq. It formed militias in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen. At the same time, it was building secret weapons to threaten regional states. We in the safe Gulf states suffered from more than 7,000 missiles and explosive drones launched by the Iranian regime and its militias. This regime claims it will fight Israel and liberate Palestine, yet it diverted Arab and international attention from Israeli crimes in Gaza and all of Palestine, wasting efforts, weapons, and focus that should have been directed at confronting Israel and its transgressions. I do not know whether this was agreed upon in exchange for arms that Israel provided to Iran during various periods, or whether it resulted from coincidence and poor judgment.
Nevertheless, God Almighty has empowered the great state of the United States of America to destroy everything Iran has built in terms of weapons, compel it to abide by international laws and boundaries, and restrain the armed militias affiliated with Iran. Today, there are serious efforts by several countries, led by the United States, to reach a final agreement on peace and security in the Gulf, or to destroy everything in Iran so that it ceases to be a state of gangs that threatens and extorts Arab states and prevents or closes the Strait of Hormuz at will, which affects the global economy. Iran and its wars have already occupied us.
Finally, I would like to congratulate the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey on their trilateral agreement, particularly regarding industry and joint defense, which will benefit the peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and promote peace and security in the Gulf region. Here, we thank God Almighty and the wisdom of the Gulf states’ leadership, which did not fall into the trap of a war desired by Iran to burn the region. May God protect Kuwait and all the other Gulf Cooperation Council states.
