"Bahraini Youth for the Hand" Camp in Kuwait
The Bahraini junior handball team arrived in Kuwait yesterday to hold a training camp lasting two weeks in preparation for the Asian championship that serves as a qualifier for the World Cup, which will be held in Jordan from August 21 to 30. The Bahraini team, considered one of the top contenders for the title, will play two friendly matches against the “Blue Team” (the Kuwaiti junior national team), which is also preparing for the same tournament. The Blue Team previously held a training camp in Slovenia and Croatia under the guidance of Croatian coach Ivan Dragicevic and his Kuwaiti assistant, Khaled Al-Mulla, playing several friendly matches. The technical staff aims to prepare the squad in peak condition before heading to Jordan for the championship. The Blue Team is in Group 2 alongside South Korea, Jordan, Syria, India, and Iran. Meanwhile, the Bahraini team is in Group 1 with Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Uzbekistan, and Taiwan. The matchup between the two sides will provide a valuable opportunity for both technical staffs to assess player form and finalize their squad selections for the tournament.
