Bahrain-Egypt "coordinating" summit for regional stability

Cairo (Agencies): Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held a meeting in Cairo, where they discussed developments in regional and international affairs. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand “the horizons of fruitful cooperation, which will bring prosperity and sustainable development to their peoples,” according to the Bahrain News Agency. King Hamad and President el-Sisi emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to promote peace, stability, and security in the region. They stressed their determination to continue consultations and coordination on various issues amid the events unfolding in the region, for the benefit of both countries. The Egyptian Middle East News Agency reported that the two sides held a meeting covering all aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest.
