Warba: Incentive Campaign to Reward Customers

Woori Bank announced the launch of a new campaign aimed at encouraging customers to transfer domestic workers’ salaries to SiDi accounts, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience and promote the use of digital banking solutions that combine ease, flexibility, and rewards. Under the campaign, customers will earn 100 Pocket Points for each successful salary transfer that meets the eligibility criteria, with a maximum of 1,000 points per month throughout the campaign period.
The campaign will run from August 1 to December 31, 2026, and is available to all current and new retail banking customers. It aligns with the bank’s strategy to incentivize the use of digital services and provide additional benefits that enhance the value customers receive when using its various products and services.
Hamad Mohammed Ashkanani, First Sector Manager for Corporate Excellence Management at Woori Bank, stated: “Woori Bank continues to invest in developing its digital services to meet customer expectations and provide a more convenient and efficient banking experience. This campaign encourages customers to use digital channels to transfer domestic workers’ salaries, offering tangible rewards that can be utilized within the Pocket Points program, reflecting the bank’s commitment to delivering added value beyond traditional banking services.”
Ashkanani clarified that customers will receive 100 Pocket Points for each successful salary transfer to a domestic worker’s account via SiDi, provided the campaign conditions are met. The limit is capped at 10 eligible transfers per month, equating to a maximum of 1,000 Pocket Points per month. He added that these rewards are in addition to any other benefits or cashback rewards customers may earn through the bank’s core rewards programs, further enhancing the overall value customers derive from using Woori Bank’s services.
Points convertible to cash
Ashkanani noted that earned Pocket Points will be credited to the customer’s digital wallet within the Woori Bank app within 10 business days after the end of each month. He highlighted that points can be converted into cash and deposited into the customer’s account, according to the Pocket Points program’s mechanism, where every 100 points equal one Kuwaiti Dinar. He emphasized that this feature offers customers greater flexibility in utilizing their rewards, consistent with the bank’s focus on providing practical financial solutions that deliver tangible value to users.
Ashkanani explained that the campaign extends Woori Bank’s strategy to support digital transformation and simplify daily banking services. The bank provides advanced electronic solutions to execute various financial transactions quickly and securely, including transferring domestic workers’ salaries through digital channels without the need to visit branches. He added that developing digital services is a key pillar of the bank’s strategy, driven by its commitment to keeping pace with evolving customer needs and offering innovative banking solutions that align with modern lifestyles.
