Authorities Seize Warehouse Stocking 1,430 Used Tires for Sale to Consumers

In a move reflecting the continued joint efforts to protect consumers and combat illegal business practices, the Inspection Supervision Department of the Capital Governorate, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Farwaniya Governorate, successfully seized an illegal warehouse containing large quantities of used tires and their refurbishment supplies. The seizure followed intensive and prior monitoring and follow-up by inspectors, which led to a raid on the site and the discovery of 1,430 used tires, along with tools and equipment intended for polishing, refurbishing, and reconditioning. Preliminary inspections and investigations revealed that those operating the warehouse were storing these used tires, cleaning and polishing them to make them appear new, with the aim of reintroducing them to the market for sale to consumers. This constitutes an overt commercial fraud that endangers the safety of vehicle drivers.
