Kuwait Fund: Kuwait Finance House Highest Contributor to the Emergency Fund

In line with the continued support of private sector institutions for national initiatives, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced a contribution of $13 million from Kuwait Finance House to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, marking one of the largest private sector contributions in support of the national initiative launched on July 5 last year. The initiative aims to bolster national preparedness and enhance the resilience of Kuwait’s emergency response system. The Fund also announced a $3 million contribution from the Murad Youssef Bahbahani Group to the same fund, which was launched on July 5 last year to strengthen the country’s readiness and improve the efficiency of its emergency response mechanisms. The Fund emphasized that the contribution from the Murad Youssef Bahbahani Group reflects the ongoing engagement of private sector institutions with the national initiative and underscores their commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing national readiness, thereby enabling relevant authorities to handle various emergency situations efficiently and effectively. The Fund further noted that private sector contributions serve as a cornerstone in supporting the national response system by providing the necessary resources and capacities to enhance preparedness and response efficiency, and to empower relevant authorities to implement priority projects, thereby reinforcing the concept of national partnership and strengthening the country’s resilience in the face of diverse challenges.
