Al-Midf: 154 Kuwaiti students studying in Malta

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Malta, Meshal Al-Mutairi, held talks with Maltese Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Chris Verrone on ways to enhance cooperation and address international issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the situation in the Middle East. The Kuwaiti Embassy said in a statement, a copy of which was received by KUNA, that the two sides discussed the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen cooperation in economic, commercial, and educational fields, as well as to elevate bilateral ties to broader horizons. According to the statement, the two sides agreed to enhance scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and increase the number of students. They also discussed the possibility of opening study missions for other specializations at the University of Malta. As noted in the statement, approximately 154 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Malta, most of them in medical fields.
