Al-Roumi: Full commitment to OPEC+ and complete confidence in its support for supply security

Oil Minister Tariq Al-Roumi confirmed that Kuwait continues to support its approach of consultation and coordination within the OPEC+ alliance, to maintain balance in the oil market and respond flexibly to the changes witnessed by energy markets. He clarified that Kuwait’s production will rise to 2.676 million barrels per day in September, reflecting its full commitment to OPEC+ decisions and their implementation according to approved schedules. Al-Roumi renewed his confidence in OPEC+’s ability to respond to market changes in a way that supports supply security and global market stability, commending the decision of the seven countries to continue implementing the gradual withdrawal from voluntary cuts and to complete it by raising total production by 188,000 barrels per day starting in September. He emphasized that this decision comes within the framework of the balanced approach adopted by participating countries, based on a precise reading of oil market indicators, and aims to achieve a balance between supply and demand while supporting global market stability.
