Washington: The International Criminal Court is illegitimate

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington considers the International Criminal Court (ICC) an illegitimate organization, affirming that the United States has begun taking steps to bring it under control. Rubio’s remarks come as part of a broader campaign launched by Washington last month, aimed at “dismantling” the ICC. The measures under consideration by the U.S. administration include imposing financial sanctions, travel bans, and revoking visas for ICC staff, as well as pressuring allied countries to withdraw from the court or refuse to recognize its jurisdiction over U.S. citizens.
