Al-Hawila: Enhancing Services for Persons with Disabilities

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, held discussions with Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), regarding the vocational and technical specialization needs of the Ministry’s sectors and the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities (PAPD), as well as ways to enhance joint cooperation to provide qualified national cadres that meet labor market requirements. This took place during Minister Al-Huwail’s reception of Director General Al-Fajam, where the two parties discussed mechanisms for aligning education and training outcomes with the needs of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the PAPD, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries and enhancing the quality of government performance. Minister Al-Huwail emphasized the importance of attracting qualified national cadres in specializations required by the Ministry’s sectors and the PAPD, which supports institutional development efforts and elevates the level of services provided, particularly in fields related to the care of persons with disabilities. The meeting also explored coordination and cooperation mechanisms between the Ministry of Social Affairs and PAAET to provide the required specializations and prepare national cadres capable of meeting the needs of various sectors, serving the public interest and supporting the efficiency of government operations.
