His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a telephone call yesterday evening from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, congratulating him on being appointed by King Charles III to form a government. During the call, the two leaders reviewed the historic ties between the two countries and their peoples, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, particularly concerning the current circumstances facing the region, exchanging views on these matters. His Highness the Amir reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for Kuwait and its friendly people, and its backing for all measures that safeguard Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
