Kuwait and China sign agreement for the establishment of the North Kuwait Water Purification Plant

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait yesterday hosted the signing ceremony for the contract on the construction, operation, and maintenance of the North Kabd Water Reclamation Plant and its ancillary works, marking the second cooperation agreement with the People’s Republic of China. Kuwait signed the contract on its part through Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, in the presence of Yang Xin, China’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait. This project extends Kuwait’s desire to implement strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of infrastructure, promote environmental sustainability, and improve the efficiency of the wastewater treatment system, in line with urban growth and in support of achieving sustainable development goals and Kuwait’s future vision. Attending the ceremony were First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif, Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Al-Mohammed Al-Khaled, and Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Eid Al-Rashidi.
