Minister of Electricity and Canadian Ambassador Discuss Enhancing Energy Cooperation

Electricity Minister Dr. Subaih Al-Makhzoum held talks with Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait Tara Sherawater on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of electricity, water, and renewable energy. The Ministry of Electricity stated in a press release that the meeting, attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Adel Al-Zamil, reviewed available opportunities for exchanging expertise and benefiting from Canadian experiences in energy efficiency, sustainability, and modern technologies supporting the development of the electricity and water sectors. The statement added that the meeting also addressed several topics of mutual interest that could contribute to strengthening technical and institutional cooperation frameworks and supporting the ministry’s direction toward developing infrastructure and improving service efficiency in line with sustainable development goals. It noted that both sides emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and exchanging expertise to strengthen bilateral relations and open broader horizons for cooperation in areas of shared interest.
