Kuwait has reiterated its strong condemnation of the continuous Iranian attacks and violations targeting the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, while affirming its continued diplomatic efforts to counter this aggression. This statement was made by Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations, Nasser Al-Hin, following an emergency meeting held in Geneva for ambassadors and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, convened at Kuwait’s request to discuss the rapid developments and highly critical regional situation.
Al-Hin added that the meeting reflects joint GCC coordination and consultation regarding dangerous developments in the region, and embodies the unified GCC stance in confronting all threats to the security and stability of member states. He emphasized that Iran’s aggressive behavior has reached unprecedented levels of escalation and deliberate disregard for international laws and charters, particularly through the direct and intentional targeting of vital civilian infrastructure, especially electricity generation and water desalination plants, which constitute the lifeline for the population. Such actions endanger civilian lives and safety and threaten regional stability.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Army announced that air defenses intercepted hostile drone attacks following Iran’s reprehensible aggression. Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, during a ceremony conferring new ranks on several officers, stressed that the current phase demands greater responsibility and duty, intensified efforts, sustained commitment, and dedicated service to the nation with professionalism and loyalty.
The Defense Minister also held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Yasar Guler, during which they reviewed several topics and issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to support and develop bilateral cooperation across various fields, reflecting the deep and close relations between the two countries.
On another front, Major General Salah Al-Azmi, Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Supply and Logistics, led a military delegation on a visit to China. In a statement reported by the General Staff of the Army, Al-Azmi emphasized that the visit aligns with the Army’s commitment to strengthening military cooperation and exchanging expertise with other countries. The visit program included a series of official meetings aimed at exploring ways to enhance cooperation and share experiences in various fields, particularly technical areas, and to discuss several issues of mutual interest.
