Kuwait and the third... steady!

In the summer of 1961, the State of Kuwait declared its independence. This was followed by Abdul Karim Qasim’s announcement of Kuwait’s subordination to Iraq, driven by the Soviet Union to counter the enmity of the pro-Arab unity leader, President Gamal Abdel Nasser, against them following the 1959 Mosul massacres of nationalists. Although Qasim did not mobilize forces at the border, Kuwait invited international British forces, Gulf Saudi forces, and later Arab forces from several countries, which deterred the aggression until the crisis ended with a change in Iraq’s leadership. We were spared harm after we bought time through secret talks held between Kuwaiti and Iraqi delegations at the time... *** In the summer of 1990, Saddam threatened and warned six Gulf states at the Baghdad summit conference, then narrowed his threats to the UAE and Kuwait, ultimately focusing the threat and harm solely on Kuwait, which he had targeted from the outset. However, he employed strategic deception by including other states in his threats. This threat was accompanied by the deployment of 120,000 Republican Guard troops on the border. He also employed another deception: his false accusations of a Kuwaiti-American conspiracy, which prevented us from relying on them until it was too late, despite their repeated warnings and offers of assistance. The shocking truths were revealed to us regarding the betrayal by those we had alienated the world for, and those for whom we lit candles to illuminate their path. Under their leadership, they played a major role in the agreed-upon deception and reassurance process with the treacherous wolf at the border. Undoubtedly, part of the decision not to rely on allied international forces was to appease the voices of the revolutionaries among the enemies of colonialism and imperialism (IC) within Iraq, whose demands, whether yesterday or today, lead only to destruction and ruin, which they enjoy like owls rejoicing over ruins they screech above... *** We return to the summer of 2026, to a process with similarities, but not an exact match, to what happened in the summer of 1990: lies and accusations were added to, along with a serious aggression initially directed at six Gulf states, then narrowed to some of them, with intense focus on Kuwait, without a single piece of evidence that aircraft and missiles were launched from it. It is self-evident that attacking aircraft against Iran are launched from American aircraft carriers, and missiles from American warships, all positioned opposite Iranian shores, imposing a naval blockade on them. No hypersonic Iranian missiles or intensive revolutionary drones have ever been directed at them. It is a matter of historical truth that Iran breached the latest ceasefire agreement and turned against negotiation processes aimed at reaching a final solution when it attacked Gulf oil tankers transiting the Gulf’s international strait from the Omani side. This demonstrates that the ongoing escalation and the devastating harm inflicted upon the Iranian people are caused by the irrational actions of its Revolutionary Guard, which has even embarrassed its own political leadership and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and exposed the brazen lies of its media personalities hosted on Gulf satellite channels at a time when Iran does not host Gulf personalities on its own channels to refute the lies of its leaders... *** Final station: 1- In a related matter... There are major geopolitical changes underway with the new era in Iraq under the leadership of the renewed President Ali al-Asadi. We hope these changes will benefit the brotherly Iraqi people, including disarming militias, serious anti-corruption efforts, moving away from the socialist system established since the 1958 coup, in favor of encouraging investments and the private sector, and forming an explicit political and economic alliance with the United States, awarding major projects to American rather than Chinese companies. We hope that all these changes will enable the patient Iraqi people to begin the path of development and renaissance, joining the six Gulf states in prosperity and enjoying their abundant wealth... 2- The negative aspect of these changes, which we sincerely hope will not occur, is that in the event of a dispute or aggression between Kuwait and Iraq, our historical ally, namely the United States, may not necessarily stand with us...
