Forward Escapism Will Not Work for Iran
After the United States tightened the noose around the brave Iranian armed forces, we have nothing left but to say “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great)! This is especially true regarding the Revolutionary Guards, who hide while leaving their country in ruins, exerting their power over the defenseless, starving Iranian people. At the same time, they attempt to destroy our Gulf states, which have never attacked Iran and consider it a Muslim neighbor. The hidden Revolutionary Guards, mirroring their hidden leader, embody the poet’s words: “Lions against us, but in war they are ostriches, timid and startled by the sound of the whistle.” Will the Iranian forces flee forward, opening land fronts in the foolish belief that igniting the region will trigger international intervention to stop the war, allowing them to wait for Iranian orders and conditions? This is Satan’s hope in Paradise. Have they not learned from the criminal Saddam and his unjust Baathist companions, who transgressed, attacked, and betrayed their Muslim Arab neighbor, Kuwait, on a dark night? He may have escaped, but the great powers crushed him with force, destroying his country, army, and people.
Indeed, does Iran have the capacity to defend itself against the daily destruction of its country and the resources of its people? After defying international law by closing the Strait of Hormuz, attacking oil tankers and global trade, and deceiving the United States through negotiations to buy time to prepare its missiles and drones to strike Gulf states, none of this has benefited them. The rightful party is stronger, even if it takes time.
It is Iran that intervened in Arab countries—Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen—and established armed militias that obey Tehran’s orders to cause sabotage and chaos. It is Iran that launched its missiles and drones at Gulf states, destroying power plants, water facilities, ports, airports, and citizens’ homes. Some were killed, others injured. Kuwait and the Gulf states have only activated their national defense systems to protect their countries and peaceful populations.
If Iran truly desired peace and stability in the region, it would stop exporting revolution, sabotage, and blackmail, as mandated by its own constitution (Articles 3, 14, 152, and 154), which calls for employing all capabilities, including armed force, under the pretext of supporting the struggle of the oppressed against the arrogant and defending the rights of all Muslims. These are empty phrases that call for interfering in other countries’ affairs and overthrowing their regimes against the will of their peoples—either they become subservient to Iran or they are destroyed. There is no mention of liberating Palestine or striking Israel. The Revolutionary Guards gang has forgotten that international law protects the great powers.
In contrast, Gulf Arab states have focused on building their nations and developing their wealth to serve their people, forging friendships, treaties, and agreements with countries worldwide to live in peace, progress, and prosperity for their citizens and the poor around the world. They direct their strength and wealth toward good deeds, helping those in need, and rescuing victims of disasters, God forbid. This stands in stark contrast to the injustice, poverty, and socio-economic collapse experienced by the Iranian citizen, whose government has directed the nation’s wealth toward purchasing weapons for its affiliated militias, leaving the Iranian people to groan under poverty, hunger, and deprivation. This injustice will not last, God willing.
