Justice: Drug Trafficking is a National Responsibility

Deputy Minister of Justice Awatif Al-Sand stated that confronting the scourge of drug abuse is a shared national responsibility that requires coordinated efforts among various state institutions and civil society. This was said in a speech delivered by Al-Sand during the opening of an awareness seminar organized by the Ministry of Justice, titled “Prevention in the Light of the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law,” held at the auditorium of the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, under the patronage of Minister of Justice Advisor Nasser Al-Samait. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Justice, Al-Sand emphasized that disseminating legal awareness and strengthening prevention constitute the fundamental pillar for protecting individuals and safeguarding families and society. She noted that organizing this seminar is part of the Ministry of Justice’s participation in the national awareness campaign against drugs, “A Nation That Protects You,” reflecting its role in promoting legal culture and enhancing institutional partnerships, thereby contributing to raising community awareness and supporting national efforts to combat drug abuse and mitigate its impacts.
