Kuwait and Iraq: Strengthening Cooperation and Security

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, held a meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fouad Mohammed Hussein, and the accompanying official delegation, on the occasion of his official visit to Kuwait. The meeting was attended by the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayb, and several senior security officials.

During the talks, the two sides discussed areas of mutual cooperation and ways to enhance coordination across various fields, alongside reviewing a number of issues of common interest and exchanging views on the latest developments in the regional and international arenas. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, contribute to supporting security and stability, and serve shared interests.
