Ministry of Education Opens Nominations for Honoring Outstanding Teachers and Schools for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The Ministry of Education announced today, Sunday, the opening of nominations to honor outstanding teachers and schools for the 2025–2026 academic year, in observance of World Teachers’ Day.

In a press release, the Ministry stated that Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Hamad Al-Hamad, issued a directive regarding the opening of nominations for honors on World Teachers’ Day and for recognizing outstanding schools. The directive specified that 100 teachers (male and female) and 50 outstanding schools within the Educational Affairs sector would be nominated.

The Ministry clarified that the evaluation criteria and scoring methodology will be announced through a procedural guide published on the Ministry’s official website, outlining the conditions, regulations, and standards governing the nomination and evaluation process, and ensuring transparency of procedures for all applicants.

It emphasized that the submission of nomination applications will begin today, Sunday, and continue until next Saturday. Applications will be submitted electronically via the Ministry of Education’s official website (www.moe.edu.kw) and the “Ya” platform, which is dedicated to nominations for the categories of Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Schools.

The Ministry stressed the importance of ensuring that all data and requirements for nomination are fully met within the specified timeframe, noting that no applications submitted after the deadline will be considered.

The Ministry concluded by affirming that this initiative aims to appreciate the sincere efforts of those working in the educational field, highlight exemplary educational models, and motivate educational staff and institutions to continue their contributions and enhance performance levels, thereby supporting the quality of the educational process and achieving its objectives.
