First Deputy PM and Interior Minister discusses common topics with Telecom Minister and CEOs

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, chaired a coordination meeting attended by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs, the Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, the chief executive officers of telecommunications companies, and several security leaders, to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release on Monday that the meeting reviewed various administrative and regulatory aspects and discussed procedures related to the telecommunications sector, as well as ways to facilitate their implementation. It also examined coordination mechanisms among relevant authorities to streamline operations, remove obstacles, and find appropriate solutions to the issues under discussion.

The ministry added that the meeting was held in line with the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to follow up on shared matters with government entities and the private sector, and to enhance cooperation in this regard, thereby supporting the smooth continuation of work, completing related procedures within approved frameworks, and serving the public interest.
