Crown Prince chairs meeting on Financial Action Task Force (FATF) observations and requirements

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, chaired a meeting today regarding the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
During the meeting, the latest developments concerning the addressing of FATF observations were reviewed, alongside follow-up on the implementation of related requirements. The meeting also examined mechanisms to harmonize national efforts and accelerate progress within specified timelines, reflecting the State of Kuwait’s commitment to meeting international standards and enhancing the efficiency of its anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism framework.
Attendees included the Minister of Justice, Nasser Youssef Al-Samit; the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subhi Abdulaziz Al-Muhammadi; the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Nasser Al-Marzouq; the Minister of Finance, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Sayed Yousef Al-Rafai; the Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Diwan, Sheikh Dr. Bassel Hamoud Malik Al-Sabah; the Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Mubarak Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Bassel Ahmad Al-Haroun; and representatives of relevant concerned authorities.
