Russian Airstrike Hits Bridge in Kyiv During German Chancellor's Visit

A bridge over the Dnieper River in Kyiv was hit by a drone attack on Sunday, according to the city’s mayor, shortly after the arrival of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the Ukrainian capital for an unannounced visit.

Vitali Klitschko said in a post on the Telegram app that an object struck the “North Bridge. Emergency services have been dispatched to the scene.” Shortly before that, air raid sirens sounded, warning of approaching drones over the city.
