Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings.

It is a pleasure for me, at the outset, to convey to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, the highest expressions of gratitude and appreciation for his gracious patronage of the opening ceremony of the third phase of the Martyr’s Garden, under the Diwan Amiri Affairs. This achievement adds to the developmental projects undertaken by the Diwan Amiri Affairs, including the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center, the Bayt Al-Qawasim Palace Museum, and the Kuwait City Motorsports City. These projects span diverse fields but converge in their goal of serving society, enhancing the quality of life, and meeting the aspirations of citizens and all residents of the kind land of Kuwait.

These edifices are part of an ambitious urban renaissance that provides creators and the public with a modern environment befitting Kuwait’s history and future aspirations.

These achievements have been realized thanks to the wise vision and sound guidance of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, and his support for national projects, reflecting his steadfast approach to elevating the nation’s capabilities.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

A documentary film was then screened, showcasing the cultural centers affiliated with the Diwan Amiri, highlighting their prominent cultural and civilizational facilities and landmarks, and their role in preserving national heritage and enhancing the cultural landscape of the State of Kuwait. The film also featured the programs and activities they offer, which contribute to highlighting national identity, introducing Kuwait’s history and civilizational legacy, and showcasing its distinction in the cultural and artistic field.

Subsequently, Ms. Anwar Ahmad Al-Yatama, Chairperson of the Supervisory, Management, and Follow-up Committee for the Third Phase of the Martyr’s Park, delivered a speech (the text of which is as follows): “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. Representative of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, may God protect and safeguard him; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, may God protect and safeguard him; Your Excellencies the Ministers; Your Excellencies members of the diplomatic corps; and our distinguished guests. We welcome you with the warmest greetings. We gather today on a distinguished national and cultural occasion: the opening of the Third Phase of the Martyr’s Park. We celebrate a new achievement added to Kuwait’s civilizational journey and a new cultural and artistic edifice: the Sur Theater. These achievements lead us toward the future while remaining rooted in our national identity and heritage, serving as a place where Kuwait’s memory meets its present and the aspirations of its coming generations.

As we celebrate this achievement, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the prominent artists and stars, all participants in this national presentation, the working teams, government entities, and participating institutions for their significant efforts in ensuring the success of this national occasion.”

We also extend our deepest gratitude, appreciation, and thanks to our partners in this major national celebration: National Bank of Kuwait, Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Al-Shaya Group, Ooredoo, and Binstar Al-Yousef, in recognition of their generous initiatives and active contributions to producing this celebration, and in appreciation of their role as partners in the success of this significant national and cultural event.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of this occasion is that Al-Sour Theatre begins its artistic journey with a major national theatrical production titled “Al-Sour,” which evokes the epic saga of Kuwait’s Souq Al-Mubarakiya (Al-Sour) across generations, highlighting its enduring values of unity, solidarity, loyalty to the homeland, and rallying around wise leadership.

May God protect Kuwait and perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, may God protect and safeguard him, and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, may God protect him and continue to bless our beloved nation with progress, generosity, advancement, and prosperity. Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings.

A group of prominent artists and stars presented the national celebratory artistic performance “Al-Sour,” which, through its artistic and choreographic tableaux, depicted key milestones in Kuwait’s history and national journey, evoking values of cohesion, loyalty, and patriotism, as well as the innate spirit of mutual support and solidarity among the people and heroes of Kuwait, particularly in times of crisis, and their steadfast adherence to wise leadership, along with the enduring national heritage passed down through generations.

A commemorative gift was presented to His Highness’s representative, may God protect him, on this occasion.

Following the ceremony, His Highness’s representative, may God protect him, conducted a tour that included the third phase of the Martyr’s Park, during which he inspected the external and internal facilities, encompassing cultural, tourist, and recreational areas, as well as commercial projects and logistical services within the park.

His Highness’s representative, may God protect him, departed the event venue amid the same warm reception and respect with which he had been welcomed.
