Boubyan Bank concluded its field training program, organized during the summer holidays under the “Bader Wa Yana” project in collaboration with the Public Authority for Youth Affairs, with the participation of several university and institute students under the Authority’s patronage. This initiative is part of joint efforts to develop their skills and prepare them for professional life.
The program provided participants with the opportunity to gain direct insight into the banking work environment through various bank channels, via a series of field experiences and practical tasks. These activities contributed to enhancing their capabilities, introducing them to professional communication mechanisms, and helping them understand customer needs and service delivery, thereby broadening their horizons and assisting them in discovering their professional potential and interests.
Commenting on this, Adel Al-Humaid, General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan Bank, said: “The program is an extension of Boubyan’s approach to investing in Kuwaiti youth by providing training opportunities that offer them practical knowledge of work requirements and better prepare them to launch their careers.”
He added: “Boubyan is committed to supporting young national talents, especially university and institute students, through initiatives that provide them with a suitable environment for learning and experimentation, enabling them to develop and refine the practical and personal skills necessary to build successful and promising career paths, keep pace with labor market demands, and adapt to the rapid transformations in the banking sector.”
Al-Humaid emphasized that continuing cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth Affairs for the fourth consecutive year reflects the integration of efforts among national institutions to provide high-quality opportunities for youth, helping them maximize their potential and enhance their readiness to participate actively in the labor market and support Kuwait’s development journey.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan Bank, said: “We believe that field training represents a crucial stage in youth preparation, as it offers them the opportunity to transition from academic knowledge to practical application and gain experiences that contribute to building their professional identity and boosting their confidence in their abilities. This helps them form a clearer vision of their future career paths.”
He added: “The program aimed to provide a practical experience that gives participants a broader understanding of the nature of institutional work, by involving them in a range of daily tasks and introducing them to banking operational mechanisms.” He noted that their engagement throughout the various stages of the program contributed to developing several key skills, including time management, teamwork, accountability, and flexibility in handling different situations.
Al-Roumi concluded by affirming that the program is part of a community partnership aimed at supporting and mentoring the children of the Authority, in line with Boubyan’s values and its focus on empowering youth. He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to continuously developing and supporting initiatives that provide them with practical learning opportunities and skill development in preparation for their professional futures.
With the conclusion of the “Bader Wa Yana” project, the Public Authority for Youth Affairs hosted a ceremony under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency Minister of Justice, Advisor Nasser Yousef Al-Samait, which honored participating entities in recognition of their contributions and role in supporting and ensuring the project’s success. Abdulaziz Al-Roumi and Abdulwahab Al-Khubzi, Manager of Training and Development, received the award on behalf of Boubyan Bank.
