Minister of Development and Sustainability Refers Case of Lost Official Documents from "Environmental Authority" to Public Prosecution

State Minister for Development and Sustainability, Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, announced the referral of a case involving the loss of several important official documents and files related to the work of the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs to the Public Prosecution, following the conclusion of inspections, administrative investigations, and the recommendation issued by the competent inquiry committee.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Faleh said the referral stems from the Ministry’s responsibility to safeguard public funds and uphold the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability. She explained that, based on observed facts and observations requiring verification by the relevant authorities, the necessary legal measures were taken and the matter was referred to the competent prosecution.

She emphasized that any observation affecting the integrity of procedures or the public interest is addressed without leniency, while fully respecting the jurisdiction and independence of the judicial authorities.

Al-Faleh stressed that oversight and accountability are inherent responsibilities that are not subject to any considerations, and that protecting the public interest remains a constant priority in all decisions and actions taken.
