British Police Arrest Five Suspected of Planning 'Terrorist Act'

London police announced on Sunday that they had arrested five people on suspicion of planning a “terrorist act,” following an incident near an airbase in southwest England used by U.S. forces.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “We can now confirm that counter-terrorism police are leading an investigation into an incident that occurred overnight near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.”
