Minister of Social Affairs Directs the Formation of an Investigation Committee to Review the Supervisory Job Exams in Cooperative Societies
Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, has directed the formation of an impartial and urgent investigative committee to review all procedures related to the supervisory job aptitude test for applicants to cooperative societies, which was held today, Sunday, at a private university.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Huwail said this directive comes in light of complaints and observations received by the ministry from several applicants regarding the difficulty level of the test, the conditions under which it was administered, the relevance of its questions to the provided study material, and its suitability for the nature of supervisory positions and their requirements.
She added that the committee will review the content and topics of the study material with the authorities responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving it, as well as the foundations upon which the test was based, in addition to assessing the relevance of the questions to the announced study material.
She clarified that the committee will also review the accuracy of the question formulation, their balance, and their ability to fairly and objectively measure the professional competence required for cooperative supervisory positions.
She noted that the committee’s work will include reviewing all procedures followed in preparing, storing, and electronically distributing the test, identifying those who were granted access to it, and assessing compliance with confidentiality protocols.
She pointed out that the committee will verify the validity of allegations regarding the possible leakage or prior access to test questions before the scheduled date, based on electronic records, correspondence, and related evidence.
Dr. Al-Huwail emphasized that the ministry will not tolerate any violation compromising the integrity of the exams or the principle of equal opportunity among applicants, stressing that all complaints and observations will be examined with utmost seriousness, impartiality, and transparency.
She stated that necessary measures will be taken based on the investigation’s findings, noting that the committee will submit a detailed report on its work, outlining the integrity of the testing procedures, the validity of the results for approval, any deficiencies or responsibilities identified, and recommendations and proposed actions based on them.
She reaffirmed the commitment to implementing the plan to Kuwaitize supervisory positions in cooperative societies and providing employment opportunities for national talents according to fair and transparent standards, in line with the directives of the political leadership.
She stressed that no shortcomings that could disrupt or delay the implementation of this plan, or compromise its integrity or the principle of equal opportunity among applicants, will be accepted, emphasizing that protecting the Kuwaitization project and ensuring the integrity of its implementation are priorities that allow for no compromise.
