Representative of His Highness the Crown Prince Receives Syrian President at Kuwait's Permanent Delegation to the UN in New York

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, representative of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State, may God protect and safeguard him, received today His Excellency Ahmad al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and the accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State, may God protect and safeguard him, to His Excellency, along with best wishes for his good health and for the Syrian Arab Republic and its brotherly people, praying for continued peace, stability, and prosperity.

The meeting discussed the fraternal bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Syrian Arab Republic and ways to develop them in the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as the most prominent developments on the regional and international fronts.

Attending the meeting were His Excellency Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; His Excellency Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; His Excellency Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Major General Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Duai, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office; and His Excellency Counselor Abdullah Nasser Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Ministerial Office Affairs.
