Deputy Emir and Prime Minister Receives Libyan Presidential Council Chairman at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received, today, H.E. Mohamed Younes El-Menfi, President of the Libyan Presidential Council and his accompanying delegation, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting was held on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the Country, may God protect him.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the Country, to H.E. El-Menfi, along with best wishes for his good health and for the continued security, stability, and prosperity of Libya and its brotherly people.

The meeting discussed the fraternal bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the sisterly State of Libya, and ways to develop them in the interest of both countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as the latest developments on the regional and international fronts.

Attendees included H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; H.E. Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; H.E. Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; and Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
