Deputy Emir and Prime Minister Receives Arab League Secretary-General on the Margins of the UN General Assembly in New York

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received, today, H.E. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the Arab League, and his accompanying delegation, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and wished H.E. success and prosperity in advancing the course of joint Arab action.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance Arab solidarity and cooperation, coordinate positions on Arab issues at international forums, and review the latest developments and updates on the regional and international scenes.

Attending the meeting were H.E. Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; H.E. Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; H.E. Ambassador Sadiq Muhammad Ma’arifi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; H.E. Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; and H.E. Minister Counselor Abdullah Nasser Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Minister’s Office Affairs.
