Minister of State for Social Affairs: Interviews to Select 90 Financial and Administrative Auditors in the Cooperation Sector Begin
Dr. Khalid Al-Ajmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, confirmed on Wednesday that the ministry has begun conducting personal interviews with candidates for supervisory positions in the cooperative sector, as a preliminary step toward selecting 90 financial and administrative inspectors from among national competencies.
In a press statement, Al-Ajmi said that the interviews commenced today with the participation of 100 candidates out of a total of 250, whose interviews will be conducted over three days to select the most competent based on the combined results of the written test and the personal interview.
He explained that the candidates for the first day include 55 applicants for the position of financial inspector and 45 applicants for the position of administrative inspector, noting that the selection process is governed by specific regulations and criteria that ensure equal opportunity and merit-based evaluation of candidates.
Al-Ajmi added that the Ministry of Social Affairs is implementing a clear and well-considered policy to replace positions in the cooperative sector’s supervisory roles with national competencies, in line with the directives of the political leadership, decisions of the Council of Ministers, and instructions from Dr. Umthul Al-Huwaileh, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood.
He stated that the objective extends beyond merely filling vacancies; it aims to select qualified national competencies capable of efficiently and effectively assuming the responsibilities of financial and administrative oversight within the cooperative sector.
Al-Ajmi emphasized that empowering national cadres in supervisory roles represents a continuous path for the ministry to enhance the presence of citizens in positions related to oversight and monitoring, protect public funds, and raise the level of discipline and efficiency in cooperative operations.
He noted that the ministry views national competencies as a fundamental pillar in developing the work system and improving performance levels within the cooperative sector.
He clarified that the selection procedures are based on transparency, impartiality, and equal opportunity, as all candidates are subject to unified criteria to ensure that the most deserving individuals are selected based on final results. He added that in the event of tied scores among candidates, a public lottery will be conducted.
Al-Ajmi stressed the ministry’s commitment to ensuring that every stage of the selection process is clear, organized, and grounded in transparency and impartiality.
He affirmed that the ministry is committed to providing more opportunities for qualified national competencies and completing the steps to place them in the targeted positions within the cooperative sector, thereby contributing to building specialized national cadres capable of fulfilling their responsibilities and enhancing the efficiency of supervisory and administrative operations in cooperatives.
