Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, signed a memorandum of understanding with the American International University (AIU) to support talented and creative individuals and to foster a culture of innovation in the State of Kuwait.

The Center’s Director General, Nida Al-Daihani, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday that signing the memorandum with AIU represents “an important step toward strengthening cooperation with academic and educational institutions and providing broader opportunities for young people to develop their skills in entrepreneurship and technology.”

Al-Daihani added that supporting talented and creative individuals requires integrated efforts between specialized institutions and educational bodies, and that such cooperation would contribute to providing training and scientific programs and activities that help young people develop their capabilities and take advantage of local and international educational and competitive opportunities.

For her part, Areej Al-Ghanim, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of AIU, emphasized the importance of cooperation with entities concerned with nurturing young talents and capabilities, noting that supporting entrepreneurship and technical training are key aspects in developing young people’s skills and preparing them for the future.

Al-Ghanim told KUNA that the signing of the memorandum reflects the commitment of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity and AIU to build an effective partnership that contributes to empowering young people, supporting the talented and creative, and enhancing knowledge and skills in the fields of science, technology, and entrepreneurship, thereby supporting efforts to prepare a generation capable of innovation and contributing to building a future based on knowledge and creativity.

The memorandum focuses on enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in the fields of entrepreneurship and technical training, developing young people’s skills and potential, and expanding learning and training opportunities in entrepreneurship and modern technologies, serving age groups from 7 to 35 years old, and contributing to providing a supportive environment for innovation, creativity, and capacity building.

Under the memorandum, the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity will offer a range of training programs and courses, scientific activities, and organize local and international competitions, while engaging experienced and competent lecturers and experts in relevant fields. Meanwhile, AIU will contribute to achieving the memorandum’s shared objectives, thereby enhancing opportunities for young people to develop their skills and broadening their access to educational and training programs and initiatives.
