Today, Tuesday, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, condemned the attempt by the Houthi terrorist militias to repeat their targeting of Mecca, which had drawn international condemnation and disapproval due to the grave nature of this crime, representing a violation of the sanctity of holy sites and an affront to the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that this statement came following a cabinet meeting chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed gratitude and thanks to Almighty God, who has blessed the country with great favors and honored it with the service of the Sacred House of Allah, the Prophet’s Mosque (peace be upon him), and their visitors, including pilgrims, Umrah performers, and tourists.
He expressed his hope that, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day tomorrow, Wednesday, the nation will achieve further accomplishments and successes in its journey of development, progress, and leadership across all fields.
The Saudi monarch also expressed his appreciation for the role of the military and security sectors and their brave heroes in defending the homeland and firmly repelling any aggression against holy sites, guests of Allah, citizens, and residents on Saudi soil.
For its part, the Saudi cabinet, after following developments in the region, emphasized the necessity of adhering to the principles of international law, which stipulate respect for sovereignty, resolution of disputes through peaceful means, and ensuring the safety of navigation in international waterways, thereby safeguarding the security of states, fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples, and contributing to the protection of international trade and supply chains.
The cabinet stated in its communiqué that the launch of the first products of the Saudi National Car Company (SABIC’s automotive subsidiary, SER) represents a new strategic step in building an advanced and sustainable industrial ecosystem, empowering it as a vital driver of economic growth, attracting investments, and supporting national capabilities. This highlights the role of the private sector in development, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional and global hub in this field.
