Head of General Fire Force Inspects Readiness of Firefighting Teams Ahead of Rainy Season

The Commander of the General Fire Force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, conducted an inspection tour today, Tuesday, of the Support Center to review the readiness and preparations of the General Fire Force teams for the rainy season, and to assess on-site the efficiency of the machinery and equipment designated to address the consequences of unstable weather conditions.

In a press release, the Fire Department stated that the tour included a comprehensive review of the equipment and machinery equipped for rapid response operations, including advanced hydraulic water extraction pumps, as well as electric and mechanical pumps of various sizes and operational capacities.

It noted that the tour also involved reviewing the readiness of portable boats designated for accessing areas unreachable by fire vehicles, and their use in rescue and evacuation operations for individuals trapped in their vehicles or homes.

Al-Roumi also reviewed the approved field plans, the mechanisms for distributing teams and equipment, and their readiness to respond immediately to reports and potential incidents, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and rapid response to protect lives and property and mitigate damage.

The tour was attended by the Acting Deputy Commander for Civil Defense, Brigadier General Omar Bursali, and several senior officials of the General Fire Force.
